Why won’t my Brother MFC-240C printer not print black even though it has a brand new ink cartrige?

Author: I installed all new ink cartridges in my printer but for some reason it won’t print black. I’ve had the print clean the black multiple times now and it’s not helping. I’m at a loss of what to do now.
